Epix teams-up with PlayStation 3 - PS Plus Members rejoice
EPIX app is launching on PS3 later today, and it will offer up a free weekly movie to Plus members—even if you’re not a subscriber to the EPIX service.
a free 14-day trial will be made available to all PSN users when the app launches later today. However, to get a full subscription, you’ll need to have television service with one of the following providers: Charter, Cox Communications, DISH Network, EPB Fiber Optics, Mediacom, Suddenlink, or Verizon FiOS.
EPIX explains in an FAQ that, like HBO, “we do not offer stand-alone subscriptions to EpixHD.com or the EPIX device apps.”EPIX will also be available on PS Vita later, which should make taking advantage of that PlayStation Plus offer that much easier.
